Because we work with so many health care providers (nearly 100 and counting), we have the time and people to delve into the details of your constantly shifting landscape. And because of our more than 30 years in this industry, we’ve seen issues that affect health care companies across a broad range of clients, and so are able to bring a knowledgeable perspective to each client’s challenges.

Here are some of the ways we demonstrate our commitment to participating in the health care industry:

  • Rob Nasso, an EFP Rotenberg partner, was selected to serve on the New York State Joint Task Force assigned the job of developing the 2002 base year methodology. The task force has been instrumental in the development of the methodology and in identifying and resolving methodology errors and anomalies.
  • Another partner, Kathleen Angelone, is currently serving as vice president of the New York State Society of CPA’s health care committee, which brings together accounting professionals to discuss and assist clients with a myriad of issues in the health care community.
  • We are members of both the New York State Health Facilities Association (NYSHFA) and the New York Association of Homes & Services for the Aging where we present seminars, participate on committees and take a leadership role in the annual New York State Legislative Visitation day.
  • All of our Health Care department staff are members of the Health Care Financial Management Association, an organization representing more than 32,000 financial management professionals employed by hospitals, long term care facilities, certified public accounting firms and consultants. Partner Rob Nasso served as President in 2004 and is still an active member.
