Joe works with a wide range of clients from closely-held businesses to non-profit organizations to governments and local development corporations. Before joining the firm, Joe spent five years as Vice President of Finance for a construction contractor, and brings that experience to work in his role as leader of the firm’s construction company services.

Christopher M. Johnston, CPA

Senior Manager

Christopher has been with EFP Rotenberg, LLP for more than 10 years. His wide range of experience includes manufacturing, construction, closely held businesses, not-for profit organizations and 401(K)/ pension plans. Christopher is also the EFP Rotenberg, LLP
service line leader for Employee Benefit Plans. In 2006 Christopher worked as an internal auditor for a publicly traded company. As part of his role as internal auditor, Christopher worked closely monitoring and documenting internal controls for locations throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico and Australia. This gave Christopher a well-rounded experience and increased his knowledge of internal controls, which he has been able to bring to his clients at EFP Rotenberg. Christopher is an active SUNY Geneseo Alumni. He has been a member of the School of Business Alumni Connections Council. As part of Christopher’s involvement with the organization he frequently speaks with classes and students about careers in public accounting.

Jason M. Piper

Senior

Jason has been with EFP Rotenberg, LLP since 2007. Jason’s wide range of experience includes manufacturing, construction, school districts,
government and not-for profit organizations. Jason’s prior experience in the industry, outside of public accounting, has given him a familiarity that allows him to adapt to the concerns and needs that his clients may have. It also has allowed him to perform nonattest services for many clients, including various tax returns. In 2005, Jason worked for a large public automotive services company based out of Rochester, NY. There, he was exposed to multiple areas
including inventory, cash management and fixed assets. During his time at the company, he also prepared monthly sales tax returns for multiple states.
