Community Involvement

Community involvement is built into the DNA of our partners and staff. You’ll find them involved in numerous community organizations, sitting on boards of directors to offer financial expertise, out on the ball field as coaches, raising money for fundraisers. As an organization, we have a special interest in supporting educational initiatives.

A focus on education

Each year, we are a corporate sponsor of the Democrat & Chronicle’s Newspapers in Education program. We underwrite the cost of providing daily newspapers to dozens of area school districts. Schools can participate in a stock market contest, where they compete against each other to see who can make the most profit on a (fictional) $100,000 investment. Two contests are run each year, with the winning teams traveling to New York City to visit the New York Stock Exchange.

We also sponsor internships and college scholarship programs at neighboring colleges and universities.
